MIP in turmoil-just not true...

Below is a quote from on elf our MIP members.

It looks like out combined MIP Steps group- of which CODA form a a part has been wrecked.

The Alanon Mod refused to hold a conscience meeting on the Alanon Business board- and to conduct a properly convened conscience meeting.

Instead there was a kangaroo court held on the message board. Three key members left, or were banned.

Key posts, that told the full story, were deleted by the moderator.

There was an unprovoked attack on the Alanon moderator of the MIP Combined Steps Board.

Apparently this mod reported back to the Alanon message board, but her message was promptly censored out.

The quote, below, is a true and fair perspective from one member. But, in my view it is not the whole story.

"My best experience with group conscience is with this group, MIP.

I saw that, even though there was not complete participation, that the majority of active members

reacted, when needed to save this board. I am still in awe."

aww I can see that three or 4 people are following this thread.

The MIP Alanon board is going really well!

With 12 or 15 regular members... newcomers and returning MIP members joining in.

The meeting style is really "old style" "take what you like and leave the rest" which suits the members.

This allows for a certain kind of leadership style.

There is very little of the "no cross-talk" guidelines.

In fact I would venture to say that "cross-talk" buried the group- as it was.

There are solutions... ...the MIP boards were set up to accomodate change, and to allow the programmes to expand. smile ...
