12th stepping across gender lines...

aww This is a big topic in AA, especially, for obvious reasons.

In AA the first 2 years are vital.

In CODA, or ACA I would not consider- at all for the first 4 years.

I have been approached on Alanon to do steps 4 thru 7 by women twice. They said they were gay.

Well they did seem more bi than gay. In NZ, because our groups are tiny- it is better to do this in a group setting. 3 or 4 members doing the steps together can be powerful. aww ...

I was in Alanon for 39 years- nothing this earth would surprise or alarm me.

Hugging is a big issue for me. There is another older timer there- and we hug.

But with new members- even touching at all- I am very very wary of.

At the end of our meetings we have a little closing ceremony and we hold hands.

As an old timer- at the beginning of a meeting I observe who people are sitting in proximity to.

How I place myself at meeting is significant to me.

I am a real goody-two-shoes, really, from way-back.

But I do like to avoid potential conflict.

I was cool and rainy here yesterday.

I did my step 11 this morning- while stretched out in bed.

Things look fairly promising. aww ...
