ACOA ~ Self-Pacing

I am relaxed today.  I'm unrushed, moving at my own pace, getting things accomplished in my own time.  I don't have to hurry, I can take my time.

So often in my chemically dependent family, I had to rush to get my needs met.  I had to rush to grow up.  Today I make a conscious decision to slow down and discover my own timing.

In my own way, I am developing and growing each day.  No one can tell me at what rate I should grow.

At this moment, I affirm my own developmental clock that times my growth with exquisite precision.  Today, in a relaxed way, I will heed my inner clock.  I will respect myself enough to slow down and notice who I am in the beautiful world in which I live.

I have had a meeting with my manager in work to day.  My over responsibility and lack of self care in all areas of my life brought me to my knees.  In work I have carried people (my own fault).  Today my manager drawed up an action plan with me and is giving my collegues on e too to ensure i do just my work.  I would have never done this without recovery, thanks for your share
