I've just joined today, though I've been lurking for a week or so.
I'm seriously co-dependent, but I'm just beginning to understand what it really means.
I feel that I am being mean if I say no to someone's request for help. It is a very unpleasant experience to feel mean, so I am always helping others; and they depend on my continuous availability, so lately I feel exploited in my graciousness. I am joining this group to find the ESH to help change my attitudes.

Hello nice4ever, and welcome to the board. I've always said that beinq a codependent isn't a bad thinq. We're nice people, just maybe a little too nice lol.
I just joined today. I'm 52 years old & I have just realized that the majority of my relationships - my entire life - have been codependent. It's time for me to get well. I'm hurting, but I'm trying. I'm hoping this will help.
